Mary and he will provide for us."
Mary returned to the poor woman and poured some drops of water into her mouth and she slowly recovered. One loaf remained and she gave part of it to the woman. When she felt a little of the food between her teeth she revived and swallowed greedily what was offered to her and seeing the other half in Mary's hands she devoured it. Then she laughed, kissed Mary's feet and the hem of her garment. Mary and Joseph fell asleep and in the morning an angel had left beside them plenty of food and drink.
