  1. Paddy MaGee of Owenbeg was supposed to be the best singer in the parish of Easkey, Kilmasshalgan and Templeboy. He won prizes all over the country for his singing. Once he went to Sligo Feis and he won two first prizes there. On his way home he met fairies and they brought him into their fort. They told Paddy that they heard he was was great singer and they got him to sing for them. He sang for an hour or so an then he stopped. At mid-night the fairy queen asked Paddy to sing but he refused as he was tired. The queen got angry and said that he would never be able to sing again and he never
