  1. There was a man in this parish who had a little shop but as he was not making a good living, he said he would try to get visitors to stop with him during the summer months.
    He told this to a traveller and the traveller said he would stay there that night so as to give a start to the new hotel. This man had a habit of leaving his boots out side his bedroom door so as the attendant could get them there to polish them.
    When morning came the traveller found his boots untouched. As he was going down the stairs he met
