  1. This is a song about a man who was hunted from his own village and he had to run and some others after him. So he himself made this song:
    "I am a bold undaunted fox that never was before untrampled.
    My rents, rates and taxes I was willing willing for to pay,
    Until at length I was betrayed by one who was a fool or knave,
    Who told me I should quit the place and show my face no more
    I knew it was no good to stand because he had the hounds at hand,
    I tightened up my garters and then I was away,
    And soon there was a sharp look out by land and sea,
