  1. Every house kill a goose or some thing in honour of St. Martins. When it is killed it is right to sprinkle the blood in each of the four corners of the house and it is right to throw the last drop into the fire. By doing this you will have St. Martin s blessing in the house during the whole year.
    It is never right to turn the rim of the wheel on St Martins day because if you would the next time you would try to spin it would not turn.
