There was one man whoes name was Pat and he was going to England and he had fifteen pounds after paying his fare over to England and he did not want to be bringing the fifteen pounds over with him.
He decided that he would leave the money in three public houses.
He went into the first house and left five pounds in it.
He asked the fore-man would he keep that until he would come back.
The fore-man asked him how he would know him when he would come back.
The way you will know me is taking this old hat of my head and stringing it on the counter three times and saying "My old hat" "My old hat" "My old hat"
I will know that said the fore-man.
He did the same in the other two public houses. He went over to England then.
As he was coming back he met with a gentleman coming into the city.
The gentleman asked him into a shop until he would buy a hat for him.
"No, No" said Pat "there is not a public house in the city
