  1. Once upon a time there was a man and his neighbours thought that he was not as wise as another.
His mother was a widow and there was no one living in the house but the two.
After some time his mother died and he was left alone.
Some years after this boy himself fell sick and had to be taken to hospital.
He was not getting any better and he came home again.
One night as he was asleep in bed he dreamed that he saw an angel coming into the room.
There was a candle burning on a table beside the bed and it was almost extinguished.
The angel told him that he would not die until the piece of a candle was burned out.
When the angel disappeared out of the room the man sat up in the bed and extinguished the candle.
Then he began to get better and when he was able to get up he threw the candle in a lake and it is said that he never died and that he is going through the world yet.
