    Its now many years since I first left my home to seek out my fortune the wide world all over.
    But wherever I ramble I am bound yet to come to a spot overlooking the lovely Lough shore.
    I left it when young and my step quickly bent to the far foreign fields where the heavy guns roar.
    In my heart I rejoiced the fevernt prayers sent from the hearts that live near the lovely Lough shore.
    In the dark of the night on sentry I stood I thought of those hearts and my mind sick and and sore.
    Made haste to the little thatched cabin so rude twas my home overlooking the lovely Lough shore. It is now gone to ruin and sadly I think on the day I first opened that little low door in the
