    along with these there is a stone head called St Ciaran's head. They mark the three places where the pilgrims pray. there is no stone of any kind beside St Finian's well, but some people say that well was higher up in the field and that it moved down to where it is now.

    The Closed Well

    A long time ago there was a well in Mr Charleton's field and a remarkable old three grew beside it.
    All the people from round the village and from far off places used to go to the well to do stations in the month of July.
