  2. About fifty yards from the school is a hollow behind the hills called Boat-Hollow. It is called this because it is shaped like a boat. A long time ago the boys of the district used to assemble in this hollow on fine Summer's evenings to kick football there or hurl. Old people tell us that one evening a number of boys were hurling ball
