    Nowadays we are gone ahead in the world. Medicines can be got in some shops and all Chemists. Long ago people had to make their own cures.
    One of their cures was a frog. It was supposed to cure the toothache if you make the sign of the cross on the tooth.
    Goose grease was also one of their superstitions. This grease was extracted from the fat of the goose or gander. The grease was used for the chest, lungs, and swellings.
    House leek was also used for curing corns. Cuts were cured by getting a cobweb and putting it into the cut.
