- Dandelion:
The Dandelion is a well know flower found growing almost everyplace. It has a white milky juice which pours out when the stem is broken. This juice if constantly applied will remove warts.It is the root which is used in medicine. The small roots are of no value and those which are three or four years old should alone be dug up. When these roots are eaten with raw or boiled they are good for people threatened with consumption .Laurel:-
Withered laurel leaves are said to be poisonous. Green ones are not, but are used for flavouring cornflour, farola and other things of that sort.Marsh-mellows when boiled:-
The blossoms of marsh-mellows are boiled and rubbed on a swelling to take it away.Crocus :-
