    The barley was not brought to Wexford forty years ago the same way as it is brought today.
    It was brought in carts and springcarts.
    The day the barley was brought in was a day out for the farmers. They used to get up very early and put their best clothes on.
    They then put the big sacks with the barley in them on the cast and yoked up the horse and drove into town.
    They then employed some men to carry the sacks into the malt house.
