    called "pancake-night".
Hallow-Eve night is a very exciting night in some places. People have nuts and apples in plenty and a farm-breac with a ring in it for tea.
Sometimes the young men gather together about ten o'clock at night. They sometimes tie the doors of the houses with ropes.
Some of them gather the goats of the parish and tie them at Walshestown cross-roads.
