    As I lie down on my right side
    I pray to God to be my guide.
    If I die before I wake
    I beg the Lord my soul to take.
    If any evil comes over me
    Our blessed Lady may awaken me.
    There are four corners on my bed
    There are four angels on them spread
    Matthew, Mark Luke and John
    God bless me and the bed I lie on.
    Lord be the branch, Lady be the flower.
    Sweet Jesus Christ be with me at my dying hour.
