  1. In former times, the people sought remedies for their ailments from herbalists a class of men who knew a lot about curing properties of various herbs. Sometimes by charms or to people who looked upon has having healing powers as the seventh son or daughter. Some men could make up a plaster that would draw cancer out from its very roots or an ointment that would cure Kings evil.
    There is a man in this locality who can extract a thorn no matter how deep it may be. He can also cure instantly the inflammation of a bad prod by simply applying unsalted butter rover which He says a short prayer in Irish.
