  1. In Mr Donohue's land of Walshestown there was a holy well. It is now dry. Over it stands a lone bush and in years gone by people came from far and near to visit this holy well.
    They used to take water from the well and drink it. Part of the cup out of which they drank is still there attached to the iron chain which is fixed in the ground.
    Pilgrims would leave something tied to the bush such as a piece of string or a bit of any thing they would be wearing.
