    where the "Lone Bush" used to be was a fairy. A number of people sally forth to watch for the fairy which last appeared twenty years ago on the exact same sport. Some believe that he is a lepraucháun and, in support of this contention, points to the "Fairies' Fort" which is close to the "lone bush". It looks as if there is likely to be keen competition for the Crock of Gold.

  2. The Care of Our Farm Animals
    Written by: Molly Fagan, Gortloney, 1st March '38.
    On our farm at home there are, two horses, four cows, six calves, and three pigs. When we are calling the calves we shout, Suck, Suck. the names of our horses are:- "Molly and Bob". We put a piece of palm in the cow-house for luck. The domestic animals on our farm are:- hens, turkeys, geese, and two dogs and two cats. the dogs' names are "Spot" and "Jef". They are two very nice dogs. One of the cats' names is Minnie
