Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There are two holy wells in the parish. Saint Ultans and St Bridgets. Saint Ultans is situated in Ardbraccan and Saint Bridgets is situated in Neiltown. People visit St Ultans on the first Sunday of September. The priest says the rosary at the well. Saint Bridgets is not visited at any time of the year. In olden times people used to visit it. Water taken from this well is said to cure of vomiting. Saint Bridgets well got its name because St Bridget is said to have visited it on her way from Tara to Telltown.
    Supposition was that you could not take water out of this well on Hallow Eve.
    There is a story told that one Hallow Eve a young maid from a nearby house came to draw water from the well. On returning from it she slipped and fell and spilled the water. She returned to the well and
