The wrestling bank is a place known in Thomas Reilly's land of Balreask where people used to wrestle about in the year 1860. The place is to be seen yet off the Navan Trim road. People used to come for miles to wrestle or to see wrestling here. The people would (would) stand around in a ring so that they would make a ring for the two wrestlers. The wrestlers would strip to trousers and braces so that they would have a grip at each other. They would not have to give any prize to the winner in those days because it was for (for) honour that they were wrestling. This was nearly the only passtime they had in those days. One of the best wrestlers that used to wrestle was James King of The Commons. it was impossible to knock out King.
