There was an old school in my district in Paddy Hilliard's school days. The school was situated where Mr. Christy Gibney is living now. Mr. Brown was the last teacher to teach in this school. The seats in this school were made of wood. In those days every boy got his slate to write on. The boys would bring their own duster. There was a school in the Factory Village a couple a hundred years ago and a part of a wall can still be seen. The school was built of stone. The last teacher that taught there was Mr. W. Murray. Both boys and girls went to that school.
