remedies of their own for curing diseases, and many of them still remain in my district
The way to cure warts is to get a small bag and to put as many stones as you have warts in it, and to throw them across your left shouder and to say "stay there" and in a week they will be gone.
There is a well in Rathmore which would cure vomitting and there is also a well in Bohermeen called "Saint Brigids Well" which will cure the same disease.
There is also a boy named Jack Mc Glew living in Boyerstown who has the cure of the "dirty" mouth. The cure of the whooping cough is very common in my district. If a peson who has whooping cough, goes to a person who did not change her name when she was getting married and if the sufferer eats the breadcrumbs after the breakfast of the person, she is supposed to be cured of the whooping cough.
