  1. In slane there is a holy well which is called "Lady Well. People always visit this holy well on the 15th August every year. The people usually walk round the well ten times and each time say a decade of the Rosary. People bring home a bottle-ful of holy water. It is used for curing sick people and invalids often go to visit it and get cured.
