There was a smith long ago...

There was a smith long ago and he used to make irons of ploughs. One day a boy came down the road to his forge with a white horse. He asked to use the smith's fire and the smith said it was alright
The boy cut the legs from the horse and put shoes on the legs and threw them out again towards the horse and they fitted on again
When the boy was gone the smith tried to do the same to another horse but he could not do it and the horse died.
