  1. Care of Our farm animals.
The domestic animals are cats and dogs. Behind the cows there is a shore which runs to a grating to take away the water.
Sometimes there is a loft over the cowshed and there is usually hay on it.
There are always holes over the manger and the hay is put down through the holes.
When calling horses people say '"Shaogh - Shaogh".
When calling pigs people say "Hursh - Hursh".
When calling hens people say "Juck, Juck, Juck".
When calling chickens people say "Birdie, Birdie, Birdie".
When calling ducks people say "Wheet, Wheet, Wheet".
When calling turkeys people say "biad, biad, biad".
When calling geese people say "yeb, yeb, yeb".
People long ago marked the hatching eggs with soot. Now they mark them with a new lead pencil.
