Lord Louth is the Landlord of our district. The family is over one hundred years in the district.
The landlord was very good about anything. He did not exercise any special power over his tenants. He didn't punish anyone for little things. There were no tithes collected for anyone in the district. The landlord owned over a thousand acres of land.
The land was all divided into small farms.
When any of his tenants would be out of work he would give them some work to do.
The people hadn't to vote for whoever the landlord voted for.
Some landlord would punish their tenants for walking on the fields or for gathering a few sprigs. The landlord of our district wouldn't punish his tenants except they would be doing some damage. If the poor men were out of work he would give them work even if it wasn't necessary.
He wouldn't have to get his rates when the time would be up for them he would wait until the people would have it. There were no battles fought in account of him.
There are no old stories about the landlord or his tenants.
The family was in this district before Cromwell.
