  1. No one in this district ever heard of St Patricks Cross. When they are made people put holy water on them and hang them over the door of each (house) shed and one over the front door.
    Holly is used for decorating the house at Christmas.
    On the 30th of April people get May flowers and throw them on the roofs of the houses to welcome the Summer.
    People put a piece of palm over holy pictures or over the bed on Palm Sunday.
    People take water from a skull in Philipstown graveyard as a cure.
