  1. I live in the townland of Tullycahan in South Parish, and in Barronstown Barony. It is a fairly large townland. There are fourteen families living here and sixty people altogether. There are very old people. There names are Michael Courtney and Mrs Courtney, both over ninety and Brian Courtney over seventy. Courtney and Duffy are the commonist names. There are fourteen houses. All are (withered) slated except one withered old and thatched with straw. The people speak English and do not know Irish.
