  1. Father Pentany was a curate in this parish some time ago.
    he was a very saintly priest and he worked some miracles. One day he went to a conference in Dundalk: he was late going into the meeting and he had not time to leave his coat in the cloak room and he took it with him to the conference room and threw it across a sunbeam.
    The sunbeam supported it and it remained there till he was going home.
    He cured a little boy who swallowed a pin by praying over him. He once cured a man who was insane.
    He is buried in the Old Monastery Graveyard
