  1. The Lenaghan's (now gone) were the principal blacksmiths in olden times. Were very good tradesmen and were skilled in making door keys, locks etc.
    The Morgans, Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh had the trade in their family for years and are still the foremaost blacksmiths in Crossmaglen.
    The Mc Creeshes, Ballybinaby, Dundalk were also famous blacksmiths and the gates made by the are still to be seen at Shelagh Church & Glasdrummond Old Church.
