  1. The smith is supposed to have power to cure any disease on the horses mouth. A smith named Curtis who lived in Liscannor cured a man from the yellow jaundice about forty years ago. The mans name was Joseph OBrien. The man would sit on the anvil and the smith would draw at him three times with the hammer but would not hit him.
