    Thady Sexton: A native of Finuremore, Mullagh. This man could lift a rolling -stone or 7 cwt from the ground to a common cart unaided.

  2. MICHEÁL na REANNA
    A native of Rhine, Mullagh, he went to Ballinacally for a wife and after the marriage was coming as was the custom with his wife sitting behind on a horse. They came to a river which was in flood and the horse refusing to cross Micheal exclaimed "I may leave my horse but I won't leave my wife;" so taking her on his back he ran towards the river and jumped across.
    At this point the river was about 18 feet wide.

    "I mBaile na Caillighe bhí an cailín dob fhearr
    Is thug Micheál Bhrighid Aodha leis i.

    Brigid used say this. She lived to 95. Died about 1915
