    Starting Work: It is unlucky to start any work on a Saturday as it would not be finished for seven weeks. It is also unlucky to start work on a Monday. It is lucky to begin work on a Friday or on a Tuesday. The people always begin to sow potatoes on a Friday.
    Digging on New Years Day: It is unlucky to dig a sod on New Years Day. They will not even dig a grave. They turn the sods the day before.
