   Near Turtulla about one mile from Thurles, in the middle of a big field lies the ruin of a chapel where it is said the priests used say Mass in the Penal Days. There is an underground passage from Holycross to Leugh from Barry's house at Turtulla to Cabra, from Rathmanagh to Holycross where the Priests used hide and escape from the Yeos.
