There is a fort or rath in Ballyerk near my house. There was a man hurling near this fort one day. After a while four little men dressed in red coats and caps came running out of the fort with little hurleys in their hands. They began to hurl with the man but he got so terrified that he ran home to his wife roaring.

“Long ago before vehicles were invented stories were told about the headless coaches...”
Long ago before vehicles were invented stories were told about the headless coaches which used to travel by night in the hours from 12 O' Clock to 2 O' Clock. These were ghost stories. It was a big car drawn by a headless horse which was(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
