    There was a high-way man named Jer Grant...

    There was a high-way man named Jer Grant who used to steal from the rich and give to the poor. A great plan of his was to go into the farmers' stables and take the best horse that was there and ride away. It is said that he hid a gold watch in the bog of Allen.

  2. There were three men one time an Irishman, Englishman, Scottish man who were accused of stealing. The English man stone a cow and the Scottish man stole a horse and the Irish man stole a cart. When the English man was asked in court where he got the cow, he said he had her since she was a calf. The Scottish man said he had the horse since he was a foal. The
