    In days gone by marriage customs were more common than nowadays.

    In days gone by marriage customs were more common than nowadays. Now only very few are carried out in country districts. Some of these customs are:-
    A boot should be tied to the back of the car to bring good luck to the bride and the bridegroom.
    For a month after they are married they are called the bride and the bridegroom.
    Some people follow the old sayings:-
    To be married on a Monday is for health
    Tuesday for wealth,
    Wednesday for luck,
    Thursday for losses,
    Friday for crosses,
