    A cure for a toothache is to go into a Catholic Church.

    A cure for a toothaches is to go into a Catholic Church. Kneel down and say 'have mercy on St. Patrick's mother's soul and you will never have a toothache again.
    Thrush is cured with Borax and Honey. It is said there is a man in Birr who cures it with a prayer.
    To get rid of a sty pull out one of the eyebrows nearest to the sty.
    Pour olive oil into the ear to cure an earache.
    Goose grease is used for sprains. It is said to be a very good cure.
    The sting of a nettle is cured with dock leaf.
    It is an old tradition that if you count a hundred white horses you are to marry the first man you shake hands with.
    If your nose starts bleeding put a key down your back and it will stop.
