- There are many old ruins of monasteries and monuments in this parish. According to local tradition the old monuments represent the burial place of some Saint or King who died long ages ago.
There are two old monuments standing in the Protestant Churchyard. They are both under good preservation and are standing erect. The bottom stone is round and there is a smaller one across the top. There are letters written in Ogham on each monument. One bears the name of St. Ruadhan, and the other marks the place where a King of Munster is buried.
Annagh near Lorrha is a very ancient place. There is a Druids altar(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
