  1. A crib was made around this district for catching birds. It was made of elder sticks in the shape of a square. It was laid down on the ground with some food in t. It would be propped up with a prong wich was called the "gabhlóg", a little sally upon was put between the prongs which was called the "cauthín". A perch for the bird to alight on the wall called the bow-ow."
