    Age 76.
    The scene of Battle of Knockbrack was pointed out to Patsy Sullivan. "Whiteboys" supposed to take part. Loc a' mharbhtha [?] near Jim Behan's Derry, across Derry Mountain, Banteer, to top of McCarthy's old farm, Knockbrack. Water always in the lake unless year is very dry.
    Three sharp edges to bayonets used at that time, resembling three edged file.
    Leather reins in British Cavalry horse until Croppy Pikes were used.
    Hook on Croppy Pike used to cut reins so then chains were put on bridles.

    Age 76 years.
    Mrs Cotter's Father, Louis, Inchidaly, Banteer told Patsy Sullivan that 73 families once lived on Jeremiah Cronin's farm, Nightfield, Banteer and that the farm extended to mountain at that time (almost 100 yrs ago).
    Limestone quarries were worked in the neighbourhood at that time and employment was given to those people - What was also extensively grown there. There was a kiln near John Coleman's
