  2. Candles were made long ago from the tallow of goats and cows. The moulds required could be bought fromt ravelling teachers adn the wicks were sold in the shops. The tallow used be melted in a pot and then poured into the mould. The wick used be held in the centre of the mould and the melted tallow poured around it until mould was full.
