  1. My father Mr. Michael O'Sullivan of Ducleagh told me the following story.
    After the ambush of Rathcool the people were afraid of the Black and Tans would search their houses for guns.
    There was a farmer of Laught who was engaged in the ambush, had a gun. He hid his gun in a rick of straw.
    He had a pig this pig made a bed in the rick. While he was making the bed he found the gun.
    The gun was loaded and the pig took the gun in his mouth. He had his mouth round the trigger.
    The people were afraid to go near because if he moved his tongue the gun would go off. He licked the trigger and the gun went off and shot a hen.
