  1. A Snow Storm
My father who is Mr James O Callaghan of Dromagh told me the following story. It was about a snow storm that took place about ten years ago.
The sky was dark and foggy before it started. The snow began about twelve o clock in the day and it lasted for over six days.
There was six ft of snow on the ground. A man named Borbet died in the townland of Gurrane.
A number of men had to make a path through the snow for the funeral to pass. The snow lay on drifts on parts of the road.
It was journey of three miles and it took them a whole day. It was severe work. It did not leave the ground for months after.
