  2. In the foregoing game, as in most of the children's party pastimes, the fun may be increased by a scheme of "forfeits" to be payed by the unsuccessful players.
    "Crying the forfeits" is in itself quite a laughable game. One player kneels before another with his head bowed, so as not to see whose forfeit he is "crying". The first then chants:
    "Here's a very thing-
    A very pretty thing!
