  1. There is a holy well a few fields away from my house. It is called Tobair na Fura. The fame of this well went far and wide. The people of long ago came in crowds, to pay rounds there from very long distances. It is supposed to cure all diseases of the head.
There is a rock near it which has to be visited on the last day of the rounds and the prints of The Blessed Virgin's feet and knees are on it. When a cure was to take place the people heard a sound in the well like the croaking of a frog. There is a spring well near and the young children of the farms in this land often bring in the water by mistake from the Blessed well to boil, and it never gets hot: no matter how long it is kept over the fire.
