  1. Doorty is the name of our district. It was a big farm once owned by a man named Mr. Owens. It was divided about twenty years ago. There are ten families in the district. There are Flanagans and Creightons and Hickses and Beirnes and Reaneys and Murrays and Brownes and O'Gradys.
Our district begins at Doorty river and ends at the Four Mile house cross roads. There are little or no trees in the district. There are a few old forts in ours and Reaneys field. It is said the Danes had a castle there. They are all new houses that are in the district.
