    gun was by getting haws. The haws were growing on a bush called a white thorn. I put the berry or haw in the hole in the centre of the gun. I then pushed the stick forward quickly with my hand and the haw came out of the gun.

  2. When I was young I often made a peashooter out of Fowrawn. The Fowrawn is a plant that grows in the ditches in fields. It grows very tall and when it withers in winter a long hollow grey coloured stem remained. The stem has crevasses on it running from top to bottom. I cut off a piece of the stem of the Fowrawn about a foot long.
