Johnny Fennelly who lived in Windgap some years ago at the end of the village where our teacher Mis. Butler now resides was a very prominent man throughout the parish. He was about 60 years of age at his death. He made numerous barrels, neat firkins, and pales in which to put cows milk. Then he brought the firkins, barrels, and pales to town where he got good sale for them.2.
The late Michael Keaine father of Mrs. Burke Windgap was a wonderful carpenter in his time. He was considered a very competent man for making common carts, and other farm implements. Quite a number of farmers in the district are using carts made by him. He was a very popular man with all classes in the parish.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
