    Sean O'Cualah. He had his name written in gold on his hurley and a gold belt around his waist as he was a great hurler with the lords. The three lords mad a bet that he would beat any hurler and they appointed the day of the test at Lord Waterford's demense. Sean O'Cualah went a few days before the hurling walking to Carrick. Some of the Carrick men knew that he was Sean O'Cualah the celebrated hurler, and to show what he could do he took off his coat and hat on the cross of Carrick, took out a ball out of his pocket hurled it up in the air and it landed back down in the hat. He hurled it up again and it came back into the hat again He took up the ball put it into his pocket walked off and left them all in surprise He went along his journey to the County Waterford the place of the test. He was to meet another chosen hurler by Lord Waterford for the contest. So he went along and as luck happened he struck into this great hurler's house. He got entertained there for the night but he did not make himself
